About us

IPC

A focused IT services practice built on deep technical expertise in virtualisation, networking, scripting, and local AI — all rooted in Linux.

Our story

IPC started from a simple observation: most IT services are spread too thin. Too many vendors, too many tools, too little expertise in any one area.

We took a different approach. By focusing exclusively on a narrow set of technologies — Linux, virtualisation, networking, automation, and local AI — we developed deep expertise that translates into better outcomes for our clients.

What began as a homelab project grew into a professional practice. Today we work with businesses that need infrastructure that's reliable, secure, and built with open-source technology.

The person behind IPC

I'm an autodidact — entirely self-taught in IT. I started working in the field in late 2006, long before "AI-Augmented Infrastructure" was a thing. Back then it was just Linux, networking cables, and curiosity. Over the years I've built everything from single-server setups to multi-node Proxmox clusters with 10G LAN backbones.

I don't rely on commercial tools or cloud dependencies. Everything I build runs on open-source software on my own hardware. When it comes to AI, I run llama.cpp locally on Nvidia GPU hardware — no API calls, no data leaving my infrastructure, no subscription fees. This isn't just a technical preference; it's a philosophy about control, privacy, and independence.

Anyone willing to learn can build or solve almost anything when you have the right leverage. That's what I bring to every project — deep technical knowledge, a bias for open-source, and the automation mindset to make everything repeatable and reliable.

How we work

Open source first

We prefer open-source solutions for everything we build. It means transparency, no vendor lock-in, and software that can be audited and modified by anyone.

Automation everywhere

If we have to do something twice, we script it. Automation isn't optional — it's how we ensure reliability and consistency.

Security by design

Security isn't an afterthought. Every design decision considers threat models, network segmentation, and least-privilege principles from the start.

Practical over perfect

We build systems that work in the real world — not theoretical architectures. Simplicity, maintainability, and getting the job done are our priorities.

AI-Augmented Infrastructure

Think of a construction site: the person directing the process doesn't lay bricks or wire circuits. They coordinate each team — electrical, plumbing, structural — so the whole project comes together coherently. To an outside observer it looks like they're doing nothing. In reality, their work is what makes everything possible.

That's the role of a human operator augmented by autonomous AI agents. We direct agents that manage Proxmox clusters, orchestrate TrueNAS storage, rebuild open-source projects with custom features, deploy and monitor VMs, handle backups, and more. The agents execute at scale while the human operator learns the underlying systems in the process — every automation deepens understanding, and every insight leads to better automation.

All AI runs locally on our own hardware — llama.cpp on an Nvidia GB10. No commercial AI, no cloud dependencies, no privacy leaks, no unplanned bills. Your data never leaves your infrastructure, and your systems are never at the mercy of an API outage or a pricing change.

Anyone willing to learn can build or solve almost anything when you have the right leverage.
